How long is Iodophor good for?

I mixed up some last night and don't have any testing strips. Does it lose it's potency after time? I'm looking to use it today during a brew.

I found the answer didn't think before I typed sorry all.

Concentrated Iodophoe has a long shelf life. Once mixed with water it is effective for up to 18 hours (What I recall)

Iodophor is cheap. Just mix up some new stuff.

i agree the stuff is cheap, so it's relatively a moot point...

but for argument's sake: can't you tell if it's active by seeing if it turns starch purple? maybe drop it on a potato slice or something?

I would be surprised if iodophor at no-rinse concentration triggered a starch reaction no matter how old it is.
