So, I kegged a beer yesterday, and I want to try saving my yeast. I put the airlock back on. ?There is about an inch of beer above the cake, ad it's sitting at 37 degrees.

How long can it sit like that?

Can I wait until next weekend?

I just kegged a watermelon wheat that was pitched with yeast from a cream ale that had been racked about 5 days before washing the yeast. I think that as long as you're clean about the process, you'll be fine for at least a few days at those temps.

Update:

After about 3 weeks in the keg, the watermelon wheat turned out great with no noticeable off flavors

That's good to know. I did something similar earlier this year and was thinking of trying some of the yeast out on a smaller scale with a 1 gallon batch of cider. If it doesn't work out, not a big loss. Thanks for sharing your experience.
