So I was following the more beer directions to make a blind pig ipa and it said to add all the flavoring hops. I added al of them, yes all of them. Classic noobie move; however, on my defense the instructions were generalized and directed to all beer rather than just to IPAs. Tried other company's extract kits with good step by step instructions but this one didn't do that.

Anyways, should I expect the monster of all bitters too hard to stand or
might this come out pretty good?

Ingredients:
9lbs ultralight extract
1lb bavarian wheat

2oz magnum
.5oz cascade
1oz cascade
.5oz cascade
1 oz williamette

depends how long you boiled them, if they were in there for the whole hour especially with high AA hops, then yes it will be bitter, but it certainly will be beer. . .you might be surprised.

Dont sweat it man. I have done this before with an experimental IPA more than once. In fact, I did a FWH as well. Forgot my other hops at 30/15/Flameout. Just dry hopped that bizzle and drank. WHOAH was that bitter but it mellowed nicely and I came to like it :)

It will be fine. I've brewed many IPAs with that much bittering hops. But I'm a hop head. What I would do though, and this is just my preference, is get some more hops and dry with them for some hop aroma.

Dry hopping it will reduce the bitterness? Should i do add it to the sedondary?

I added 6 ounces of Cascade 8.7% @ 60 minutes and no flavor or aroma hops.

It turned out great and is one of my favorites. I called it AllBitterNoFlavorTonOMunich Ale.

It will be fine.

Matter of fact, the pic is on the left. For some reason, I cannot get it to clear as well as other styles. That is my only complaint.

If you added them all at 60 minutes, you've got an ESB. Guessing that the magnum was the bittering hop, all the rest wouldn't kick the IBUs too much higher. Let it ferment out, then give it 3 weeks to clear. At that point you can decide if you want to dryhop or not.

Unless you did a very small boil, your beer will be pretty bitter (actually the kit is made for 100 IBU wow!) I think you will be fine, if the IBUs are that high in the recipe then I'm going to say you don't have to worry about bitterness.

Whatever the case, you missed out on the flavoring and aroma. Definitely dry hop!!

No, dry hopping will just add some very nice hop aroma to go with the wonderful bitterness. The bitterness will mellow with time, as will the hop aroma as well.

Whoah, I just read that you used Magnums for your first hop addition. Stand by to have your face melted off!! Thats some GOOD **** man! (Definitely one Im not upset I mistaked on)

Like I said, I did a 1oz FWH with magnums and no other hop additions, then a 3oz dry hop of cascades and centenials. It melted my face off at first but a couple of more weeks and it mellowed to a very nicely bitter bitter. I was pleased :)
