Did riwaka not taste like straight green pepper to anyone else? Nobody in the group I was with liked it at all, maybe it was a bad pour

I think you're all taste impaired. No worries, we here at TB are an inclusive community, and will work hard to accommodate your disabilities.

Riwaka to me tastes little like any other HF hoppy beer, or any other hoppy beer I've recently had. If you were looking for citrrusy and juicy, you were drinking the wrong beer

no green peppers here. really enjoying this!

no peppers, but I thought it had a grassy component to it which was a nice break from most HF IPAs

best time of the year for me has always been Jan and Feb outside of the 3day ski weekends most are pretty chill up there for the beer scene and crowds at HF.

Yea, this new Nordic batch is the best shelf saison I've had in quite some time. I regret not buying an extra case.
Only buying a third of a case might have been a mistake, especially considering that Nordic is among my favorite shelfie.

Will probably be planning a trip up in the first two weeks of Nov. Will solidify dates as we get closer, anyone planning around then? Would love to meet some TB'ers.

Not planning anything yet, but I'll probably be due for a trip around then. Might consider a cannonball run in order to tick another TB'er/stock up on shelf stuff.

Riwaka was juicy, great stuff. Now maybe I'll be sad I didn't get I didn't get more Nordic... will put one in the fridge for tonight.

old bottles of nordic have also aged very well

Funny, I was going to say the opposite. Maybe the only HF saison that I have found to get substantially worse with age. Well, that and Dorothy, but that's not fair to Dorothy.

But I've only had 3-4 old bottles of Nordic, and they might have all been batch 2, so maybe that batch just wasn't cut out for aging. It was still fine, just not nearly as tasty as fresh.

who can tell me how Daybreak is drinking now?
I drank one Wednesday night and it's holding up well - I was surprised how bright the orange character still is. (Had it alongside Magic Rock Grand Marnier BA Bearded Lady for comparison and I would have guessed the Daybreak was the fresher beer, even though it was brewed about 2 years prior)

with Dorothy, and especially Table D... I find they are great fresh... but then hit an awkward period... then they bounce back with a good year on them... still, drink them fresh... that's what they are made for
