Just got final confirmation that the grandparents can watch our kids this weekend so my wife and I will be at HF at opening on Friday to celebrate our 10th anniversary! If anyone wants to share a beer or just say hi look for the couple with big smiles on their faces.

Hoping that the barrel-aged saison that shares my wife's name makes a serendipitous appearance for on-site bottles Friday, but I'll be happier than a pig in **** no matter what the choices are.

Love your avatar. I own a couple Keyes prints. :)

Congrats on the anniversary and enjoy your trip.

This is helpful.

I believe the rotating saisons (Anna, Arthur, Florence, etc) all normally see some time in oak foudres. There have also been batches of Arthur and Florence that were in fermented in stainless instead, and some of those Arthur batches were dry-hopped.

These are funny.

really happy to hear collected works is returning... I hope people are not ******** and mess it up for others... after being in the SARA Cellar and talking to Chad from CS about how they can be selective, I hope Shaun really does get a chance to run this how he wants/envisions it

I feel like people being ******** and complaining about the beers they ended up getting was at least one reason the collected works was cancelled. Good to see it's back though, especially since I may be moving out of the region next year.

Friends, I have a buddy who will be visiting Hill Farmstead at some point this week or weekend. He has offered me goandpickitup services. I do not want to trouble him with growler fills so I was looking at the bottle options currently available.

I know this is kind of a dick thing to say in this thread but none of the bottles currently available to go are things that interest me. Ive had prior vintages/releases of them and found them to be pretty average beers. Have any of them changed enough with these newer releases to warrent a revisit? Or, which bottle would you pick to be "the" bottle to buy if you were in my position?

Whatever this fine fellow picks up for me is going to be shared with some fellows who are local to me and whom never had anything from hill farmstead before. This is my main reason for reaching out here for advice. Thanks

New "elongated" Anna is the tits. It's very reminiscent of "old Anna" before Shaun messed around with the conditioning yeast.

But seriously, the growler fill process has been significantly improved and if your friend is already getting some fills, adding one or two for yourself isn't going to take measurably longer. Especially given how you feel about the current bottled offerings I'd go that route...and get a bottle of Anna.

you're breaking my heart!!!

I know my rep as a HF homer... but still...

either way... Anna should be a sure-fire awesome beer... Everett is my favorite porter, but some people don't get too excited over porters? I dunno... Dorothy is probably the one that less people can agree on... I love fresh Dorothy... but yeah... get some Anna... hope it changes your mind
