Anna > Dog Fights and Line Speak ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm already planning a return trip to Vermont. When is the best time to visit? Our extended weekend trip felt rushed and I would like to spend more time in the area :) Thanks!

there's generally good reasons year round...

Summer is good for hiking and outdoor activities
Fall is good for foliage and still some outdoor activities.. (my favorite time of the year)
Winter is good for skiing or snowmobiling
Spring is good for... less traffic/congestion

My two favorite times have been late May before Memorial Day and the time between Labor Day and leaf peeping season.

I'm already mentally writing in either a trip over Thanksgiving again, or mid-December between the end of classes and Christmas. As awesome as FoFA weekend is, I also really enjoy trips on more random, quieter weeks.

I approve of the direction this thread has taken.

I concur

I love fall in VT. Especially if you aim for the time right before the tourist rush (I'd say like 2nd half of September, right around the 2nd and 3rd weeks of October Stowe Rd is literally a clusterfuck). It's nice enough to enjoy the outside but cool enough that you won't sweat your balls off from hiking, standing in lines at breweries, walking around town(s).

I'll be headed up to Vermont the second week of September. My first time in the state, and I'm stoked!

If I can make it work with my work schedule I'll be doing the same...

I'm around the greater Burlington area, hit me up if you guys want to have a little TB shindig. I'll bring some HF from yesteryear.

It's always a good day in Vermont. **** I was up there last November for a work meeting (best thing ever) and lucked into Cigar City guest pours and 70 degrees. Winning.

EDIT: my mileage allowance only covered about 1/5 of my purchases.

Tourists up there looking at leaves at that time? Thinking of a trip up to HF in October, though probably towards the end of the last full week in October. What's it like up there around that time?

think my favorite visit to HF was Christmas eve afternoon a few years back... kick myself still for not buying one of the prefilled totes with the amazing bottles, but couldn't justify paying the $ for a wood tote i'd have never used :(

Hearing mixed reviews about this Riwaka. Alll I know is, that keg at the Blackback was amazing!

Looooove Riwaka. Had a pour on-site and then one later that night at Blackback. I'd put it right up there w/Citra as my favorite of the single-hops. Why the **** did I not fill any growlers?

Hopefully that bitch returns again soon.
