Hi, I. New to home brewing and thought I'd try one of the simple extract kits (form wilko).
We got the whole set up including the big plastic keg.

One is coming online and has nice carbonation

The other flat as water. Turns out the top on the keg had a bad seal.
Is there any way to rescue it ?

Thanks.

Haha fixed the seal with new rings. ;)
Not force carbing no, so priming sugar it is.
How much would I need to revive the flat tar that is my porter ?

Thanks again.

What is the volume? Generally, I'd add 4 ounces of priming sugar per 5 gallons of beer (113 grams per 19 liters). Dissolve the sugar in a little water before gently adding.

Off the top of my head I'm not sure, but you've certainly helped already !
(Even liking the multi version measures! )
Loving this forum already !

I’m not sure what you mean by “plastic keg.” Is this like the cheap Mr. beer nonsense?

I’ve had brewers buy used corny kegs that need the seals replaced, but I’m not familiar with plastic kegs.

At any rate it’s easy to test for leaks with any pressurized system by using a spray bottle full of star San and spraying it on all joints and possible leak points of a system. If you get bubbles on the area you’ve sprayed you can identify the source of the leak and replace the suspect part or seal.
