Hi everyone!

I am extremely new to the art of beer making. I love beer and have always loved a good beer or any nice alcoholic beverage. My fiance got me a beer kit for Christmas and unleashed my inner beast that I new knew existed!! :rockin:

Looking forward to hearing what you all have to say and great recipes you have to offer. I know ill have plenty of questions as I start brewing!

Welcome! I'm from Youngstown also. Well, I was born there and went to school there, but moved away many many years ago. Still, I always think of it as the place I am "from".

Welcome again, and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks Yooper! I did my undergrad there and am also currently in graduate school there as well while i work downtown! Downtown is definitely seeing some improvements which is nice to see after a long time of decrepit areas! Thanks again!

Welcome ! I'm in southwest ohio. You came to the right place for help with what seem most anything.

Welcome! Strongsville here. Been meaning to make it to Youngstown the past few weekends to visit a few of the places that were on bar rescue :p

I was born in Canton, and am now living in Columbus so welcome from another Ohioan! Brewing is a great way to pass the winters waiting for the sun to come back out.

Hi dc. I'm not too far away from Youngstown. I'm in Harmony, PA. I lived in New Castle for a little while before I moved here.

I grew up in Strongsville, born and raised! Small world! They did two bar rescues here recently. I went to one of them so far after the improvements and they made some pretty sweet changes. Definitely recommend making the trip to The Federal for a night. Right on federal street.

Yeah I saw both of them and the federal looked pretty cool haha. We will definitely make it there some day soon. I'm right by the brew kettle!

Welcome!

Never lived in Ohio myself, but my wife grew up in Canton. Clicked on this thread because when she was young, her mother used to tell stories to her and her brother about "The little girl/boy from Youngstown". These were always stored about misbehaving kids who had something terrible happen to them because they didn't listen to their parents, or where the "keep making that face and it'll get stuck that way" kid was from.

So, I guess my wife grew up with stories about @yooper .

Ah nice! I always wanted to try making something at the brew kettle. I have been there to each plenty of time but never make any beer. My parents still live in Sville, I lived by where the new Giant Eagle is at.

We had a really old house in Harmony Township when I was a kid. In Sheffield now, about 2 hours west of Y-town. The Brew Kettle Rocks!:rockin: Lots of Buckeye brewers on here! Who says were a bunch of worthless nuts? :tank:

I'm in the town of Harmony near Zelienople. Harmony township is in Beaver county I believe.
