Hello from South Dakota

Hey, my name is Chris. I'm not new to brewing or new to the forums. I brewed a few batches back in 2007, took a couple years off and have been brewing consistently for about six years now. I am working on opening a brewpub here in Watertown. We hope to be open this fall. I never claimed to know it all and am always trying to learn more. That's why I decided to create a new account and start supporting HBT again. I find myself still coming back to the forums when I'm looking for an answer. There are a lot of great brewers here with a wealth of knowledge. If you ever find yourself in Eastern South Dakota, look me up. We'll have a beer or two. Good luck with the brewpub. Eastern SD needs more breweries, so you should fill a void there.

Yeah, The West side of the state has 7 breweries... Over on the east there are 5. With ours and another Sioux Falls brewery getting ready to open and a couple more in planning. So, South Dakota is getting there. This is probably the most untapped area of the country for craft beer right now. We're always a little behind the times.
