Hi! I am a novice brewer, have only made 3 batches of cider and one wine. But I'm totally hooked. I want to try so many things, it kind of makes my head spin, lol.
I am currently making a Mangrove Jack's cider kit, and have a question that I haven't been able to answer by googling. I just added the flavor packet and the instructions say to give it a day to settle again and then bottle, adding carbonation drops during bottling. I don't have carbonation drops, last time I dissolved glucose in boiling water and then added a measured amount of that to each bottle. It was really time consuming and messy doing that while I was bottling. Maybe it would work well if there were two people doing it, but as a solo operation I'd prefer to skip it if I can.
So my question is, can I add the dissolved sugar to the fermenter now and then proceed with bottling tomorrow? If I add it to the fermenter, right before bottling, I'll stir up all the yeast. Is it likely to ferment a bunch and defeat the purpose of the priming sugar if I do it today?
For reference, I am fermenting in a Fermzilla 27L.
Many thanks for any insights anyone cares to offer.
