It uses point differential for calculating your rank.
It's not a bad way to do it.
Over a whole season it's probably a better indicator of your team's worth rather than its sheer score.

I just checked and the STANDINGS tie breaker is the head to head record, not a MATCH-UP tie breaker. I think this should be based on total points your team has scored. It doesnt make sense for someone to be ranked higher than someone else who has scored more points than them

Let me get that for you:

Each game is won by the point differential your team scores for each and every game.


Let me draw a simple scenario for you:

TEAM A:
game 1: W 100-99
game 2: W 100-99
game 3: W 100-99

Total: W-L 3-0
score: 300-297


TEAM B:
game 1: W 150-99
game 2: W 95-99
game 3: W 130-99

Total: W-L 2-1
score: 385-297


Which team do you choose?

that isnt how the rankings are, check again. hop town has a negative point differential and he is the 1st one listed in 1-1 group, and also has the least points scored in the 1-1 group, thats bs! And everyone else after him is in no order of point differential. I can do math, you need to check you process again

Yes, I am quite comfy in my recliner. While all y'all play musical chairs week to week, I'll be rolling steady and sneak in for the win at the end.
I'm actually satisfied with my standing. I've won both of my matchups so far even though I was projected to lose both. I beat week one's #1 ranked team contributing to his lengthy fall down the rankings. And I've been in the top 3 both weeks. So, I'd say things are going good. I can't be overly confident because there's still alot of season left, but I'm happy with how I've started out.

There are 8 teams at 1-1 currently. The only teams that are out of order of total points scored are those that have had head-to-head matchups already. Hop Town def. Sacks of Life, Sacks of Life def. Drunk Monkies, and Drunk Monkies def. Hop Cones. From Kansas Cultures on down, it's ranked by total points scored.

The 2-0 and 0-2 teams are all ranked by total points scored (not point differential).

I'm doing all of this while participating in a meeting, so excuse me if anything above is incorrect. And I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it, but that's just the way it looks like it's being calculated.

I agree. I doubt it will be an issue toward the end of the season, but early on it is making for some confusing rankings.

If we do end up with 2 teams with the same record in the end, I would want it to be based on head-to-head results rather than just points. However, it gets more complicated when there are more than 2 teams with the same rank who haven't all played each other...
