12 lbs American 2 row
1 lb Munich malt
1 lb crystal 40
.5 lb melanoiden malt

Haven't came up with my hop schedule yet, but probably gonna do some warrior bittering and some falconers flight and simcoe goin for an IPA also

that should be very malty. It depends on what you're going for, of course, but it could be a malt bomb type beer.

I concur, very malty. Haven't used melanoiden in a non german style beer before...looks like a bock ipa which could be tasty. What are you trying to create here?

Trying to create an IPA but just throwing some things out there to see what feedback I get and I don't really want a malt bomb going for more of a hop bomb. So maybe ill cut out the malanoiden and lower the Munich

Looks a LOT like the grain bill for the clone recipe for Zombie Dust that's here (somewhere), which is I think very very tasty. Check out that thread and see what folks say. I think it falls somewhere between IPA and APA. I brewed it, and I think its pretty nice.

That grain bill uses:
%
82 2 row
8. Munich
4. Carapils
4. Melanoiden
2. Crystal 60

YOUR proposed grain bill:
%
82.8. 2 row
6.9. Munich
3.4. Melanoiden
6.9. Crystal 40

Might be a bit much on the crystal in my opinion. The grist as I said is very close to that zombie dust clone. SkeezerPleezer I think posted the recipe.

I tasted some of my brew of the zombie dust recipe last night to see if I thought it was overly malty. I used safale S04 yeast, and I do not find it to be malt forward, but that's me. My attempt at an arrogant bastard brew is far more malty by a longshot. Granted the grist is a little different than your proposed list. Only one way to find out though...

Definitely love me some zombie dust! What Abv did your brew finish at tricky?

I missed the mark by a tad. hit 1.062 (target 1.065) FG was 1.010 Used two packs of S05 and one S04, guestimating their viability by package dates. Beersmith says 6.8% ABV Never had the commercial brew though.

Actually after talking about it today I went and grabbed a 6 pack! So you pitched 3 packs if yeast?

And I'm not gonna use the citra like zombie dust,I've used citra and Amarillo in alot of my brews gonna try something different like falconers and simcoe never used either

Nice! Wish I had the capacity to do that much. Well thanks for the input buddy anymore would be much appreciated cheers and Go Bears
