i am going to try
10 lbs of 2 row
1/2 lb of crystal 20
.25 lbs of carapils

.5 oz magnum at 60
1 oz citra at 10
2 oz citra whirlpool
2 oz citra dry hop

will this give me a citrus punch in the face ?

is 1 oz dry hop enough or is that up to preference?

also , i have mosaic and could use that to bitter instead of the magnum

thanks

2-3oz of citra dry hop is good, do it toward the end of fermention. Magnum is fine as a bittering hop because of it's clean bitterness. You won't get much flavor/aroma from the 60m. What whirlpool temp are you going to do? Otherwise looks good!

Yeah under 170 is good, dry hopping during active fermentation may increase haziness and blow off some volatiles. Just a consideration. But see how it works out and adjust for the next time :)

If the Carapils is for foam, consider a pound of wheat instead. If it’s for body, a pound of barley flakes.

I would absolutely keep the bitterness on this one, but if you wanted to replace the Magnum @ 60 with the same IBUs from Citra @ 20 (or even just increasing the 10 addition) you could pack even more Citra-y goodness in.

the carapils is for foam. i might consider wheat but that would have to be another order from the hbs as i dont have it on hand.

alex this is good, i like the idea of more at 10 or some at 20 and no magnum but i have never made a beer without a 60 min addition and it seems sacrilege. although i have seen a lot of neipa recipes with no 60 min additions lately .

i think the lack of oxygen exposure will be more of a benefit than blowing off some aroma. IMO but i will def keep this in consideration

thanks for the replies
