So I was looking into those neat flush mount glass washing plates and then I found out they were pretty pricy (like $175). I could not get the idea of having one out of my head so . . . DIY later . . . . I made one.

This has no real use other then short-term, say for a single night gathering, because the water is not fresh every time. This is really more for glass rinse before pouring and not washing. This way no beer wash off of germs drop back into the bucket. Could drop a little star san in the water too.

I built this because I had nearly everything sitting around my house and I wanted to see if I could make it work. I had an old CAP-1800 submersible pump from my reef tank days (~600 GPH). I only had to buy a few lost cost bits to make it work.

I modded the out line of the pump to fit into a 3/4 PVC, attached the 3/4 to 1/2 thread for the sprinkler, added a short riser, then added 4" pop up 360 spray sprinkler, dropped the whole thing into a 5 gal bucket with a whole cut into the lid, added a nice drain cover I found at Lowes, connected it to an extension cord with built in foot switch and boom . . . glass washer.

Tried a smaller pop up but spray would not reach the top of the glass. Would be nice to find a sprinkler head that spray up and in a "v" pattern so it would not have to pop up at all. I did have to remove the spring that pulls the sprinkler head down when turned off because it was too strong and my pump did not have enough pressure to push it all the way up. This requires me to press the pop up back down after washing the glass.

Minus the pump it cost under $20 and works great. pumps cost about $50.

This could easily be placed into a large OD OSB pipe and mounted to the side of Kreezer with lines feeding inside to a water reservoir to hold fresh water and waste off elsewhere. Lots of options.

That's pretty awesome. Even if not for everyday use it is nice to have I bet.
