We are having a taco meal tonight. My wife a taco salad. For me taco fixings in a large tortilla(s) to add a load of refried beans and sliced jalapenos.

American Amber ale for the beer pairing.

When I first told SWMBO I was going to start brewing beer she promptly replied "No your not! I don't want you blowing up the garage!" Lol.

Over St. Patrick's day, I premiered my Pilsner for the first time. My buddy tried it and said "it's good, it's like an amped up Coors." Knowing he meant well in that I made a beer that tastes like a profession brewer made, I just smiled and replied "well sure, they are both Pilsners."

Went to a bachelor party for a friend this past weekend. Knowing that it was going to be all guys that only drink Bud or Natty, I wanted to bring something cheap. I picked up a six pack of Schlitz pounders, one of my go-to beers if I just want to get drunk cheaply.

When I showed up, my friend told me: "Of course you had to bring something fancy."

and tacos

I think Econ was the first great derail. Tacos is just the most recent delicious one. But I digress.

Yesterday I interviewed a possible new roommate/tenant. The guys girlfriend saw me reorganizing my garage and all my brewing equipment and asked me "Ah, so you make your own beer?" If she were single...

I know the feeling. A couple months ago, I was ridin' through Giant Eagle, getting spring water for my latest brewing endeavor, & this young blonde hottie walks up & sees my Morebeer! cap. " Oh, you make your own beer"? "Yeah, I've been doing it some 4 years now. It's pretty easy to make good beer at home when you learn how. It's not hard" yada yada. She had that big glamour smile on her face from the first word. Ponytail through the adjuster loop on the back of her cap. Excited conversation from her the whole time. Dang, where were you 20 years ago?! She just thought home brewing was the coolest thing ever. She seemed to like craft beer already...:ban:

Man, **** you guys and your tacos.

I'm hungry for tacos, and I laid out chicken for dinner. And no, I'm not going to put any martha flarking chicken in a hard shell. I'm no heathen.

Back O/T... you guys ever had Guinness? I heard it's made from the second runnings of the tar sands from hydraulic fracking operations.
