Washed my White Labs Abbey Ale Yeast (WLP530) after racking on Wednesday. I stuck the jars in the back of the refrigerator without realizing one of them was adjacent to the cooling unit. 90% of the liquid froze (luckily the jar didn't crack).
My understanding is that when cells freeze they swell and pop. Does anyone know if this yeast will be usable if I defrost it? If so, how should I defrost it (room temp, in the fridge, etc.)?
