i'm making a mocha oatmeal stout and now that i'm going to keg it i just realized that i never added my lactose in during my initial boil.so what should i do now???? can i just boil up a some water and disolve it there or should i just forget about it all togethrer??? i have 2 other batches to keg first so any answers fairly quickly would be greatly apreciated!!!!

Lactose can be added when you keg it with no problems. Just boil it up like you would priming sugar. The yeast can't ferment it, so it makes no difference when it goes in.

I brewed a milk stout a while back and becasue my mash temps dropped too low, it was way too dry. I just added the lactose (quick-boiled water/lactose solution) to the secondary.
