Hey everyone,

Recently I've had the time to get involved on this site and just saw the Introductions section.

I've been brewing for the last 8 months and it's been awesome; definitely a hobby I intend to keep for the rest of my life.

On a college budget (one more year left baby), doing 5 gallon batches can be taxing so I usually split it into 2.5 so I can brew more frequently.

I live in Oviedo, FL, originally from Sarasota, FL, and definitely plan on moving back near the coast when I'm done with school.

If anyone lives in the area and knows of some brewing events/clubs, let me know!!

UCF?? I graduated in '01!! I lived in Oviedo for 3 years. Sometimes (rarely) I miss it. I live south of West Palm...had to move back to the coast. An hour to the beach is unacceptable.
I started brewing in late May and just put my 4th batch into secondary. Not only is brewing your own better, but I think so it's cheaper. Once you buy the bulk of the equipment. I think I'm averaging about $1.07 a beer, if I can whittle down the wish list and stop buying carboys every time I'm at the store....
I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that there is a group in Central Florida.

Howdy neighbor! I live in Oviedo. The local homebrew club is Central Florida Homebrewers. We meet at Rossi's Pizza on South OBT the first Sunday of every month, visitors welcome.
