Hello! Another newbie question...

I'm in my secondary right now, letting my beer (pale ale kit by Baron's) clarify while I'm away for the next week.
A lot of the sediment is settling, which is great, but I've still got some undissolved hops is suspension, which actually seem to be rising to the surface.
Will these just take longer to settle, or should I try straining them as I bottle? I plan to siphon Ito my bottling bucket as I prime rather than putting sugar in each bottle, so that would be a good time to strain, I'd think.

DON'T STRAIN! You don't want to add oxygen in any way to your beer after fermentation!
tie a hop sack around the end of you racking cane. That should keep out most of the hop material. If you have the space you can also put you fv in the refrigerator for a few days and that will cause a lot of hops/yeast/trub to fall out of suspension.

Did you you dry hop? Otherwise i see no way there could be hops floating at the top of your beer after transferring to a secondary.

That said, dont strain it. Your not going to get all the beer out of your secondary when you bottle anyways, your going to have to leave a few cups down there or else you'll suck in a bunch of trub and other sediment off the bottom.

Yes, it was dry hopped; this kit had the wort pre-made, so presumably the hops were already boiled in...but it came with a small bag of hops to use in the primary.
Good points about aerating. Don't want to do that! I'll see if I can find a hop sack. Don't want to be picking bits of hops out of teeth with my first brew.
