Well, I stired the yeast instead of letting it lay. Then added the sugar and stir. Did I screw up?

Racked to secondary glass jug. Been sitting for a week or so, now has sediment in the bottom. The cider is clearing up color wise. Appears to have something foating on top and sides, mold? Is this normal, was going to wait a few weeks to bottle.

Primary fermenting bubbled for good for 5 days and stopped. Racked to glass jar, minimal bubbleing. Found the bubbler slightly loose and 78-80f temperature. Cider is clearing up quite a bit, can see through it now. Working on picture

Does not look like mold, might be a pellicle.

If it smells & tastes fine, don't worry about it.

Just found my air lock rubber stopper has a tendency to push up, maybe allowing some air in. The bubbler does not smell like vinegar, smells sweet.

You shouldn't really be sitting in secondary for that long (or any time?) with so much headspace, during active fermentation there will be a c02 layer to protect your cider against oxidation and bacteria but as fermentation slow/stops this won't be present or as strong and you have a massive amount air in there (instead of c02).

Bottled it yesterday, not much apple taste, more alachol taste. Didn't smell like vinegar.
