This is my first all grain recipe I designed on Beersmith2. Any feedback, questions, concerns would be greatly appreciated.

7 lbs 3.1 oz Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM) 60.8 %
1 lbs 11.8 oz Munich Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) 14.7 %
1 lbs 11.8 oz Vienna Malt (3.5 SRM) 14.7 %
1 lbs 2.5 oz Caramunich I (Weyermann) (51.0 SRM) 9.8 %
0.50 oz Hallertau Magnum [14.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min 22.3 IBUs
1.00 oz Tettnang [4.50 %] - Boil 2.0 min Hop 6 1.2 IBUs
1.0 pkg Octoberfest/Marzen Lager (White Labs #WLP820) [35.49 ml] Yeast

Looks good at quick glance, I'd maybe cut back a little on the caramunich, but you don't have any other specialty malt so you might be fine. At first hunch I'd think it'd be too dark for a marzen style. Hops are perfect for a european lager beer including IBU target. Make sure you do a 90 minute boil with the pilsner malt to get rid of the DMS.

I'll assume the odd amounts come from either converting from metric or from the amount of left over ingredients you have laying around. Because if it isn't for one of those reasons, it seems a bit weird.

Other than that, it looks like a tasty recipe. I haven't brewed that style or any lager for that matter, but it sure looks like a beer I'd be willing to drink.

The weird numbers came from beer smith program. Thankfully I have a food scale that measures in pounds and ounces. I think I'm gonna give her a try

Like, Beersmith learned to think on its own and told you what to brew?

Or you made a recipe and then scaled it to the size batch you wanted and it came up with weird amounts?

If it is the first, that is a bit weird.

I like the idea of 2 versions of this: Vienna in one and Pils in the other for the base malt. I put Vienna (30%) in a 2-row corn rice cream ale version and am drinking now. Tomorrow doing same recipe, but no Vienna version of same cream ale, just upping the 2-row. I am expecting a difference as the Vienna adds a bit more. I think you should be good to go and get something pretty authentic both ways to the style.

Ah, so you were working from percentages. That explains the weird numbers. Personally, I'd round off the amounts, but if you are ok with, that's cool.

Be sure to report back when it is finished. Once the numbers are rounded off, it looks like a simple recipe to repeat. So, if it turns out well I might be interested in trying it out.
