Hey all, I am into my 10th batch today in my first year of brewing. I have been lurking in the forums for a while now and I have learned a great many things to THANKS first of all.
It was raining like mad today so I decided to play indoors, did an extract porter while bottling my all grain Pliny clone.
Today I had a mishap... When I was checking my gravity I noticed something strange... The top of my hydrometer was broken. I am not sure how, and I am not sure when. But I do know it sat in the bucket that I used as a fermenter while the bucket was full of starsan.
Even though I remember rinsing the bucket as well, I didn't see the broken hydrometer until I was actually taking a measurement and I am semi paranoid...
Should I:
A) Dump the batch?
B) Use a hop bag / fine strainer when going to secondary?
