Whatever happened to that weird liquor thing FFF was going to do a couple of years ago? Did that come and go? Never happen? Is it here and I am clueless?

They are still making some apparently. They have been very tight lipped about it. No idea when we will see any available.

Perhaps they made whisky and are just aging it for 7 years...

I tried some very young whiskey they had produced at Dark Lord Day 2016 from a buddy, and it was like every other very young whiskey. Haven't heard anything about it since though which is odd. I figured you would see gin / vodka / agave spirit coming from them while they matured any whiskey they had aging away.

Man, for someone that used to go to FFF at least once a month, I'm at a loss for when the last time I WAS there..

Gotta be at least a year and a half now.. I haven't even been to DLD since 2015.. woof.

I bet it's completely changed.

Besides an occasional Zombie Dust on tap, I haven't bought FFF or been there in years. Personally, I think it's been a decline in the quality of their beer and the availability of better local options. Might just be a me thing.

I don't have a problem with FFF, fwiw.

Buy a 6er of Space Station at Binnys Naperville every now and then.

But just crazy how different habits have become over the last couple years.

Seeing yeahnatenelson practically monthly to tick some weird one off or grab some obscure over priced bottle immediately after work on a Tuesday..

I member Nate....and Richard.

RIP Richard.

Food is the best part about FFF these days. Everything is awesome. Makes it hard to choose what to eat between the pub, Bombers BBQ, and Schoop's.

They need to bring back the short rib ravioli. They've had that same 'meh' Pork Shoulder on the menu for years now - switch it up already!

While I wanted to try something else on the menu, this thing is just so good.

SALT BAKED PORK BELLY nduja ricotta, fried egg, mustard greens, bourbon apple butter, herb butter fries

All this talk of 3 Floyds food had me look up their menu and I noticed that my favorite dish of the last 6+ months is no longer on the menu...

Those were so ******* good.

In fairness to Frank, I don't plan ahead hardly ever, and because I can't get a same day reservation for one at the Publican, I end up at Little Goat when Union Station goes to **** and I find myself needing dinner in the West Loop. I am okay with this.

You guys do realize that FFF’s menu changes every 4-6 months, right. ;)
I’ve had many “favorite” dishes disappear only to realize one of the new dishes is just as good in a different way.
They do anamzing job constantly changing the menu with amazing item. It’s been that way for like 10 years, which is really impressive for a restaurant.
