I get a rare Sunday evening in the city this weekend, any good taplists/events that I should to try hit up? Will be near both Fischman's and Rev taproom but really can travel anywhere.

EDIT: It looks like Rev taproom is closed on Sunday due to private party

If you ask the LT (and lurchingbeast can attest to my father's meltdown) the service at GI Clybourn on the patio on Black Friday is the devil reincarnate.
I couldn't believe how long it took one of 4 bartenders to acknowledge our empty glasses while being seated at the bar. Meanwhile taking orders from at least 10-12 people that were lining up immediately to the left and right of us. My wife was ready to jump over the bar to serve herself.

Not making it to brunch after all today. :( Turns out kids are giant jerks who don't care if you want to do fun stuff :) Planning to try again next week, so hopefully we'll see you then!!

But mac and cheese chimichanga! did you not tell them there would be TWO kinds of mac and cheese?!? I am not making it in today either. I will have my hot date with french silk pie Tuesday, I guess.

Is Breakroom worth checking out? Do they do flights? I've heard they have a good burger but I got mixed reviews regarding the beer.

Regal kicked while there and was replaced by coffee. Of course on the day of THE ANNOUNCEMENT, it was by far the best pour of this year's coffee I've had so far, bottles or draft.

My theory is that if it is truly an infection then the contamination involved the bottle filler. All the kegged stuff consistently seems as good now as mid November

I haven't had any this year that tasted infected. Just nothing as stellar as at the taproom. My pours at fobab were straight up green pepper.

Cracked a 2012 BCBCS last night. Drinking very very well. Good reminder of how good BCBCS used to be - just has the extra 'oomph' that has been lacking in recent years. No green pepper or off flavors detected. Just simply delicious.

Opened a '14 in early Dec that was amazing. Then followed it up a few nights later with a '13 which was really disappointing.

I'm one of the odd birds that keeps a decent amount of Coffee going back.

Might be fun to revisit that vert with someone trying to pawn off one of their "Bad" '15s after they get their refund or whatever the bros who bought a ton are doing now to maximize their value / do damage control.
