That dude in the front's hat looks just like the reservoir tip of a condom, how appropriate...
Just another Monday in Chicago beer...I don't even anymore.
But they trade so well man!! Like imagine the number of BCBCS one could get with a BA......nevermindWait, that line is for a Pipeworks BA beer?
I don't think I have the finger strength to type the amount of "haha's" needed.
Thanks for the reminder - damn near forgot that I need to pick up my bottles!Saw on FB that Dave at Beer Cellar had a line before he opened this morning for the Pipeworks BA releases. Nothing surprises me anymore.
Since our first batch at Solemn Oath, we’ve been putting beer into wood. It’s something we are dedicated to and we’ve been working hard to develop a program to better share this passion with you SOBs. Each year we’ve brought more variety to the lineup and each year we’ve expanded the capacity of our barrel program. Now we’re ready for the next step.
In the past, SOBs have only been able to drink our wood-aged offerings on draft at either the taproom or craft-focused #oathspots around Chicagoland. We’ll be changing this and bottling our wood-aged beer in very small quantities for the first time.

I've known him since grade school. He and his wife are still together. Still not sure what caused the worlds smallest violin post. Also, that's not his haul. He put together several peoples hauls to take that picture to rustle the collective facebook jimmies.

I believe you have til Friday.
there was some kind of BA doppelbock that GI clybourn made a few years ago that i had on draft on black friday...i can't remember the name of the damn beer but it was glorious. they should bottle that instead.
There was one called Elijah that I think Laffler made before his exit that was absolutely amazing.
Did a 09-15 BCS vertical last night, which isn't a great idea if you are fighting a cold. For anyone else who has ever done this I'd love to get your take. I couldn't believe how little variation I could pick up across the years and the beer was just consistently awesome save for maybe 2013 which was a little lesser.
Few years back, did a 2006-2012 (current at the time) vertical, and I've done 11/12/13 and 12/13/14 since then. There's definitely a variation, although it's gotten smaller over the years. There was one called Elijah that I think Laffler made before his exit that was absolutely amazing.

It's only $19.50, but still HARD PASS
$175 for 9 bottles.

Saw the $40 all inclusive ticket on Instagram, figured it was per bottle. Not sure what the $40 gets you.

I'm curious as to what reference GI uses when blending. Whether it's written notes on the ideal BCS or if they blend to taste differently each year.
