Penrose announced allocations of 6 bottles of each beer today. $15 for the apricot sour and $8 for the tart saison. I'm hoping at 1PM on Wednesday it isn't too crazy and maybe I can just pop in and try the beers on tap before committing to number of bottles. I've allocated an hour of lunch break, so we'll see how that works.

That's a pretty hefty limit for each, I hope it doesn't turn into a sold out in 3hrs scenario like the XII release was. My wife won't get there until 3pm and we only want one bottle of each...

Did anyone attend the 12 release? Im curious to see how crowded that was, as Im sure it will be similar today.

No one has publicly stated they were there, I have been trying to score a bottle of XII for a while. And with a 1 case per limit, I thought maybe I'd get lucky, but it's only turned up crickets...

If its worth while I completed a trade for 12, 11 for 12 1:1, that was through that ****** FB page though:oops:

EDIT: Let me know if your wife gets shutout, I am hopefully getting multiples of both.

Will do...thanks for the offer and this is why I love TalkBeer. Much appreciated!

Hey middlebrow, I think Blue Moon is copying your steez, I just saw this announced:

"Blue Moon's summer beer next year will be Havana Summer Ale, with lime and mint..."
ewww...why couldn't you say some brewery I respect & rip off? I assume their artificially sweetened and flavored version will be more popular than our lil summah shelf turd.

I pulled up at 12:55, saw the line was to the street, and waved at a few people I knew as I drove away. Couldn't wait in that line on a lunch break. Glad I didn't. My buddy got there at 12:45 and just barely snagged some 14. 13 was gone. That's not ideal. Wondering if the draft will last until after work.

I highly doubt any of those bottle chasers were interested in actually tasting the beers.

Someone on Facebook was complaining about people cutting in the bottle line. That doesn't really happen at releases, does it?

So that was shitshow, Lots of mules, lots of full (and double) alotments, but I was able to grab my 2 of each and a draft pour of each. I feel they need to go back to limits of 1-2ea. Also I can only imagine the #newmoney shitshow* that is the next release, which is an AWA collob with 18th street.

*#newmoney loves 18th street
