I pulled up at 12:55, saw the line was to the street, and waved at a few people I knew as I drove away. Couldn't wait in that line on a lunch break. Glad I didn't. My buddy got there at 12:45 and just barely snagged some 14. 13 was gone. That's not ideal. Wondering if the draft will last until after work.
saw you drive by and wave, looked for you in line later and didnt see you, this explains it

So that was shitshow, Lots of mules, lots of full (and double) alotments, but I was able to grab my 2 of each and a draft pour of each. I feel they need to go back to limits of 1-2ea. Also I can only imagine the #newmoney shitshow* that is the next release, which is an AWA collob with 18th street.

*#newmoney loves 18th street

It's kinda ridiculous.. because last time he was really convinced "they dun fukd up" last time and were definitely making wholesale changes the next time around.

At least it won't be busy when I roll in to actually drink the beers around 5.
aint that the darndest? so many breweries get business for a rare release and then sit dead for the other 350 days of the year. I've been in a half empty penrose like 4 times during what would should be busy times. I just wish all these guys would do on site consumption and force the kids to play pokemon instead of just collecting beerachu.

Is anyone else having a hard time summoning any ***** about BCBS this year?

I'll grab some regulars if I stumble onto a pile at some random-ass neighborhood grocery store, but otherwise, I dunno, seems like a lot of effort.

I suppose I'll have to turn in my beer card now.
I think BCBS is pretty much best in class as far as barrel-aged stouts go - BCBCS is particularly the absolute ****. That being said, I cannot stomach the idea of dealing with all the damn homies out there just get a 500mL bottle or two. I don't know why that is the deal-breaker for me - if it was still 4 packs, I may be more inclined to wake up at 4am and go to a less-traveled Binnys. But because it's in such a stupid, piece of ****, ugly bottle... for me, that is my breaking point. Can't care less. Will buy much Deth's Tsar and Ryeway To Heaven and put on my winter weight that way.

You're the third person to mention this to me. Against my better judgment I had to rejoin. Too intrigued.

TL;DR for non-members:

"Some guy booed Eric Hobbs so **** that guy for booing."
"He has a right to boo because they should have known better after the last release."
"You still shouldn't boo a person!"
"**** that this is ********!"

More CCBE summaries like this please going forward for those of us who have (partially) disconnected from the madness, and fully disconnected from the Facebook madness.

I'm right there with you. Hope I find some regular somewhere because I always have some of that around. But **** chasing variants or waiting in any lines.

Feel bad for the parents of the guy who sent both his mom and dad to mule for him, waited in line with a bunch of young FIBS while complaining that he owed them "big time", only to be told that they sold out once they made it inside the door.

Any word on how AB-INBEV is going to handle the Glitch that allowed people to sign up and buy tickets without winning the lottery?

I wonder how widespread this was. Haven't seen anyone mention it on CCBE or BA thankfully.

Jeezus these entitled ppl on CCBE, complaining about the Penrose release, hopefully it will make them question going to the next one.

People are butthurt for sure. But it is kind of weird if you know you only have enough beer for 50 people, and see 100 in line to not:

1. Adjust the allotment
2. Tell people at the back of line you only have enough for the first 50 so wait at your own peril.

They didn't tell anyone until 13 was already sold out and 14 was down to the last 2 cases.

Also, they let anyone cut to the front and walk up to the bar and buy bottles if they also bought a beer on draft, probably shouldn't let people do that if you don't have enough for the people who are lined up.

Tickets for nearly all events are deemed to be a 'revocable license' which means that the issuer of the ticket(s) can take back the ticket with or without cause. I would assume a quick cancellation e-mail along with a check to make sure those who legitimately bought tickets are still OK, and a potential 'Round 2' of e-mails would be forthcoming once things get sorted out.

Looks like it still lets you fill in the form with BS and it tries to process the card. They should really make a better web form. It should be rejecting the entry before even attempting to process the charge.

Does it process legit cards and treat it like normal. you would think they world fix it no rather then go through the hassle of rejection emails and refunds.

I don't want to test with a real card, but a friend of mine tried it with a real card yesterday and it processed the order and sent him a ticket... First he filled everything out but put in a fake card. It said there was an issue with processing the card. Put in a real card and it went through. No messages about any other information not being correct.
