Has anyone seen a higher draft price for BCS variants around the city than Howells and Hood right now? $10 for 6oz or $20 for 13oz of BCBCS.
What does the keg cost?
Stout still has those $25 bottles of regular and Barleywine. Not sure of anywhere else that has it on draft.Has anyone seen a higher draft price for BCS variants around the city than Howells and Hood right now? $10 for 6oz or $20 for 13oz of BCBCS.
What does the keg cost?
Last keg that I bought was about $255 retail...
A sixtel? So about $255/661 - 39 cents / oz.
Compared to selling at $10/6oz - $1.67 / oz
Roughly a 332% markup.
I'm pretty sure I've seen them with a keg of this before at a similar price. Must have sold then. Why not again, I suppose.

I wonder what some of these bars think...that someome will eventually relent and buy, so just hold out on the hugely inflated price? I feel like I have seen bottles at Jerry's or somewhere for years, that just seem so obviously mispriced. But I guess if they're not wanting for inventory space, just wait for the right person to walk in.

Ah, there's the math I'm doing wrong.Well, let's say .40 is the base price there as you listed. Just a touch more than you originally listed, I'll admit.
So you indicated 1.67 ends up what that listed that price per oz added up to. How is 7-8 cents per oz more well above that 300% markup? Remember.. it's not 3x.. it's 4x. The markup is 3 times more than the original price. Not just 3 times the original price.
