Junta (Whiskey) is fantastic. Great whiskey character up front in the nose and flavor, with acidity that is certainly apparent, but nowhere near the level that would detract from drinkability. Perfect balance for a sessionable Oud Bruin (4.6%).

Still have to hit 350 myself but I will agree Hailstorm was a nice chill place. Just wasn't impressed with their beers. Being so close, I'll check them out again in the future and hope the beer gets better.

I'm sure I'm the senior here but if you don't mind sharing a beer with an old fart let me know. I'm really not all that bad, at least I don't think. Lognar can vouch for me …we've shared a few

Going to be popping a bottle here in a few minutes, can't wait! Love me some Transient, was happy to find a few bottles yesterday after not grabbing any Whiskey Junta at the release party.

Speaking of sharing a beer of any of you city dwellers feel like hitting up revbrew I now live over there, they have bluegene on and well I'm bored so lmk
Milwaukee or Kedzie? I'm at Kedzie on most Sunday afternoons/evenings -- I'll totally think about saying 'hi' but will likely just keep reading my magazine and drinking because I'm a total curmudgeon.

Milwaukee is fine and all but such a shitshow half the time. The lack of food notwithstanding, Kedzie is streets ahead of the brewpub if you're really looking to sit for hours and hours and drink (which is likely why Monday mornings wind up being extra terribad for me. Hah!).

Definitely vouch for Jon. Have banged many times. One of the best guys I know. He knows how to treat a guy right and is a perfect gentleman.

i stand by my original. i'm not saying that hunter is a bad beer by any means (i really liked BA hunter at stout fest in april and thought it was a highlight), but i find that one of the things that makes me instantly think "new money" is someone trying to trade chicago distro beers for adjunct hunter variants. just one of those things that makes me involuntarily scoff.

Newmoney is trying to flip Nuthulhu for 4 bcbs bomber variants or DB Huna/BA Abraxas + something big. They are trying to flip Hunters for Nuthulhus. Downgrading wouldn't be a new money practice.

I remember Lognar talking about some a-hole that bought the last 2 bottles of square grouper that DG Binnys had. I did not realize at the time that this ******* was me. :(

That's awesome! And of course it would be you. I don't even remember posting about that. Hahaha.
