Giant sucks! You’ll never change my mind, I’ve been there multiple times and have had to send back more than one dish due extremely ridiculous amounts of salt every time. Service sucks, their beverage dude is a dick and the food is below mediocre. I’d rather drink BiXi’s terrible beer than ever eat at Giant again.

Also Daisies is the real MVP...

What is this? A lunch for ants?! I've always found their portions tiny as hell, second only to EL Ideas. If I had actually paid for my meal there, I'd punch myself in the face. 14 courses were roughly 28 bites, we all went to Greektown after for gyros...

I find it the perfect lunch portion. Plus you get a similar dining experience yet have room to walk over mid afternoon to Cruz Blanca for beers and Mexican street food, or Publican for meat & beer.

I still think the overall best value we've had in restaurants of that caliber in the city was Elske.

This is very exciting to hear as the wife and I have reservations for this Saturday. Then on Sunday I'll finally be checking out the Bungalow. Gonna be a great weekend

I'd stick to the a la carte menu, unless you are dead set on the tasting (which is delicious). You will just get more for your money that way...

I appreciate the advice, but this is the first time we are doing a prix fixe restaurant so we're going to stick to the tasting this time. We're definitely going to do drinks a la care though

That's what I was referring to regarding the value. It's been a couple years but for the price I haven't found a better one. Honestly only Alinea was a better overall prix fixe of those that we've done and that's obviously a much higher price.

This beer is no joke. Effortlessly drinkable. So soft. Bright citra. Local NEIPA on par with the actual NE producers.

i was trying to think 'what was that old local pizza forum' the other day...cool write up though, thanks for sharin.

also, good news, systems up and running and we got our lil lithuanian farmhouse/grisette hybrid chuggin along and will have a lot more brewin next week. we'll be like a fully operational brewpub in like a couple weeks.

I enjoy that almost 3/4 of the beers actually sound like they will work well in a cask, instead of simply using the cask like infusion vessel.
