I want a Deep Woods version of this. Instead of 77 natties, 77 woodies.

Someone calculate the estimated MSRP.. bout $580?

Hey thanks! I just had a can of Gravedigger Billy and am blown away. I'll be pouring samples in line up until the release time, so if anyone comes, you'll get to taste before buying. It has this perfect touch of smoke that's like a cherry on top, without distracting from the well-rounded base, bourbon and barrel character.

How do I say this without sounding weird? I really want RevBrew to do manly things with me. I can't wait to put some Gravedigger Billy inside me, is what I'm saying.

Details re Metropolitan’s 10th anniversary party:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ten-years-lager-tickets-52997092731#

Jan 19. Tickets @$80, all inclusive.
"Please be aware that by entering our anniversary party, you consent to your voice, name, and/or likeness being used, without compensation, in films and tapes for exploitation in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity, and you release Metropolitan Brewing, its successors, assigns and licensees from any liability whatsoever of any nature."

Guess I can't go since I plan on being famous one day.

Taking a page out of Gonzoillini book.

Visited Jester King for the first time today. What a beautiful property. I wanted to pitch a tent and just live there permanently.

Saw a gentleman working with a Half Acre hat on and I mentioned we were visiting from Chicago. Introduced himself as Daniel and mentioned he had helped open the bars at Dusek’s, Northdown and Owen & Engine. Gave my wife and I a free pour of Detrivore which was delicious and chatted a bit more before our lunch was ready.

Their pizzas and food were spectacular.

Beers tried:
Biere de Blanc du Bois
Birra de Sangiovese
Cerveza de Temperanillo
Foudreweizen
Biere de Coupage
Soul Conduit
Detrivore

The wine grape beers were delicious. Blurring the line between a wild ale and a natty wine which I loved. Foudreweizen was basically Foudre aged Live Oak Hefe which was banging. Coupage and Detrivore were also great. Thought I would love Conduit because of the gin barrel-aging but the thyme didn’t work well.

All in all, A+ visit, would bang again.

MisBeehavin is having their suburban launch at Burger Antics today 11-3.

From the event post:
Misbeehavin' Meads recently launched in Chicago, and now they're coming to the 'Burbs! Stop by Burger Antics during our Sunday Brunch service on December 2nd from 11am to 3pm to try four of their amazing products:

Big Black (Black Currant, Blackberry, & Black Raspberry Mead)
Dye, Dye My Darling (Raspberry, Tart Cherry, & Red Currant Mead)
Cabinet of Curiosities (Spiced Grape Mead)
Caramel Apple Cider

Let's show these guys how much Chicagoland loves mead!
I am planning to swing by toward the later side for some pours and the hot dog they put on the brunch menu this week looks pretty bangin.

Drove around to a bunch of spots picking up beers on Saturday, and I'm not mad about that choice despite the rain and traffic. Came away with at least 3 of the best things I've drunk in quite a while.

Off Color Staveyard Framboise - Raspberry Jam is first and foremost, but the oud bruin is still there. Also picked up a bottle of this years ProCats.
Half Acre/Fonta Flora collab Sun Finger - A Mandarina hopped Pils that tastes really refreshing in the midst of giant stout season.
Pipeworks The Coconut Jones Dog - Great balance between bourbon and coconut. The coconut isn't oppressively sweet or sun tan lotion. It pours out into the glass with giant coconut oil globs. Closest thing that I can recall to 2013 Prop.

That Stave Yard Framboise is super jammy goodness, I've been going on the record that it's what Raspberry Tart wishes it was due to the complete lack of acid...

Is that Coco Jones Dog available to the public or just a FwB thing because that looks delightfully decadent?

Coconut, "Sundae," Cognac, Hyper, and standard The Jones Dog were all available at the Dojo this past weekend. I'm sure that the majority of these are still available - seemed like a very large batch.

One note is that PW said on the other site that coconut was likely to sell out Th once they reopen.
