I'm going to assume the person behind me in line- who was coaching his wife what to get when they got to the table- is just trying to compensate her for her time with that.

Rev handled the whole thing as well as possible but standing in line for a significant time for the first time in years has only made me sadder/angrier about this whole hobby. I'm not sure what Rev's policy on bottle shares in their adjacent alleyway but there were definitely people opening bottles which I thought was... I dunno. It's not ******* DLD. Can you go an hour without opening a ******* bottle? I hate being the "it was better back when" guy but I guess that's where I'm at.

ETA: No seriously, lots of registers to pay, someone directing people to open spots, quick checkouts... Rev really killed it with the system. It's the people who are terrible.

Also popped a Code Swith and it's very unique. Not my favorite thing but I think they've done something really unique. Fruit wine-like in how it goes from the fruit to a clean palate that fast.

With you on the bottle sharing. When I showed up at 2:30 (I know), there were people who had backpacks full of beers that they had already gone through. And then Rev's free line beers. And then the event. I guess if Rev is cool with it and they clean up their **** up, then whatever. But really I just want to take Mrs Bob Cobb to the next one so my debauchery looks much more responsible in comparison by merely delaying it 90 minutes.

I had a grand old time even with the line. We got there a little after 3:30 and got through by 5ish. Saw lots of folks in line and said hey. Shot the bull with my buddies on a fairly nice weather day. I can see if you went alone that the wait could be cumbersome. I enjoyed time without beer to hang but I was also the one responsible for driving the other 3 home. I did get 1-1.5 oz tastes of everything though. DB Linus was my favorite. VSOJ was probably close to equal. The rye was nice with the cherry VSOJ. 2015 SJ was smooth as can be. Regular Linus was quite good. Super smooth and chocolatey. The super charged code switch was like low key blackberry brandy. Kinda tasty. Kinda hilarious. Really great but short time. Maybe for Deth I’ll plan an overnight or get to be a passenger rather than a driver.

First visit to More beforehand. Really tasty burger. Had the 5 oz BA Karma pour. First coconut then cinnamon. Really viscous. Good Barrel. Some cocoa. Damn fine BA Stout. I tried the strawberry marbles. Milkshake IPAs aren’t my jam but that was delicious. I heard the pils was good but didn’t try it. Nice space. Good time. Worth trying that stout if it sticks around. Fun but long day.

To echo the same thoughts as everyone else it really fun night. I went right into the tap room at 4 and drank through most of the line up. That lager was actually the real sleeper for me. Really well made beer and really hit the spot after multiple barleywine pours prior. The massive crowds I thought were handled as well as they possibly could have been.

Nah, but I might buy a ticket to Paula Abdul in New Buffalo
Gonzoillini

EDIT: Also seeing Phil Collins tonight and Elton John Friday. This is a great week for shows.
ya....great

That Marz Liquid Dreams Fest was a pretty good time yesterday. There aren't enough $20 festival options anymore.

Reminded me of what The Big North used to be before it became a $75 affair.

I’ve got 3 nights of NIN and then Pub’s 10th anniversary party. My voice is going to die. Rip in peace.

Same weekend as FoBAB.. looks like both days will get equal amounts.

Damn.. was planning to do FoBAB Friday and Iowa game (@ Illinois) on Saturday.

Decisions decisions..
