Can't blame a guy for trying...

Count me in for this one. I remember going all over the place to get that beer. I think I first tried it at Beer Under Glass. Hope this batch is just as good.

Funny they seem to forget that Laffler did some one-off kegs of Grapefruit Sofie long before Paradisi. Also, I don't want no ******* orange peels in my grapefruit beer...

Here's hoping it's still as tasty.

Here's also hoping that if they're digging into the Fulton & Wood back catalog, they go for a Baudonia Redux at some point... while still neglecting to mention it's BCS ;)

I’m up at Links currently trying both VSOJ and Codeswitch, happy to say that both are very good.
Any tasting notes on Code Switch? I mean if I already trek my ass down there I'm going to buy a 4 pack regardless, but what should I expect.

Very very berry forward, but also a nice carmel background to it, pretty balanced and definetly dry but I greatly enjoyed it. Honestly it reminded me of a very nice blackberry barleywine. We can discuss it further in the taproom

Do we get one free chitlord pass or anything if we show back up in vsoj line like jeg at new glarus?

he doesnt still do that, does he? he's gotta be like in his 30's by now, right? like do you age outta chi-t-lordin

Wow just saw Rev sold em both out by like 7:30? JAYSUS. I hope they made a metric fuckton of everything else. I'm gonna have to take off work for the other ones.

When Vanilla Deth is up, there may be a tent city.

For the number of people they handled, that was great.

Obv frustrating parking in the neighborhood with the turnout and discouraging line length.. but got what I came for, well managed crowd, lotta fun stuff on tap.. what more can you ask for?

I'll just try to get there by 3 next time.. not 4.

Mixed feelings about not making it to this release, but overall, I don't stand in line for beer anymore. And generally don't drive hours to beer releases either anymore. That VSOJ looks great. I will always look back fondly living in that hood and having four pours with like 20 other people on a weeknight before I moved away.

I actually think that is a real thing, and I think beeraficionado has turned these things into something entirely different (and better, mostly). Still surprised.

Eyeing those ryeway cans to come, but think other than that will be good with draft/distro. I say that having thought vanilla deth was one of weakest draft only variants last year. Now watch it be revamped and awesome and I'll be rushing to find my place in line with the vanilla? thought bubble brigade.
