Going to need to start hoarding OG Malort for maxx profits.

Someone please film the thundering stampede running to the Side Project station for Derivation. I suspect Maman will be similar but not quite the spectacle Derivation will be.
I bought tix for early session - then got roped into coaching flag football. So I gave the tix to a coworker. Sadnezzz.
I’ll see if there’s a gametime decision for the late session.
I will be there for the first session, I spoke to a HA employee a week or two ago who informed me that the glass you would be getting is a 10oz glass and you could ask the pourer to fil it to the top. So while the event is only 3 hours per session I’m sure it will take up my whole day.
Allowing 10oz pours at any beer fest is a terrible idea
I thought it was going to be running to holy mountain for Hand of Glory?
I will admit like 60% of my decision to purchase was in hopes they brought this.
Founders bringing that heat with KBS and Mosaic Promise.
I've done it twice in the past. Usually the windows are about an hour shorter if I recall.Fobab volunteer form is up. I always think about it every year when I don't want to spend $90. For those who have, when it has a 10:30-6:00 session, for example, are you really volunteering for 7.5 hours? Or is that a window you need to be available for like...4 hours.

Y'all can run after your pastry stouts and then you can stay the hell away from Allagash, who is pouring Saison Gratis, which is not only not a shelfy but also will probably be the best beer at the thing. How about Allagash with two year round shelfies.

I did it once. I had a lot of fun pouring beer. It’s a long ass Friday night. Probably like 3 until 10:30. It takes enough energy that I really considered skipping my free session but that’s mostly due to the train commute from Geneva. It did allow me to leave after about two hours when I tried all the beers I wanted since I didn’t pay admission. I’d recommend it if you like talking beer with people. Also unrelated, I'm bored, any fun beer things going on today?
Hope people got a change to grab Miscellanea. One of the best AWAs to come out of Chicago I think.
I went to the foeder talk Laffler gave on Thursday night and it was really enjoyable.
They took about 90% out of the foeder to make this beer and are refilling it and adding additional house cultures from other sources for a future beer.
It's nicely acid forward, compared to many of the Off Color wilds. Highly recommended if you get a chance to try it.
All of this! I thought the same thing, I think the release wasn’t as well attended due to the fact no one really knew what the beer was. I first had it 3 weeks ago and claimed the best OC beer to date...
Still available? Holiday tomorrow and all...
am i in the minority that loves the fact that off color keeps acidity in check?Hope people got a change to grab Miscellanea. One of the best AWAs to come out of Chicago I think.

It was a little odd to see the release have such low attendance. It seemed to check a lot of boxes:All of this! It's weird, because balanced acid/funk is what everyone claims make Belgian iterations ('tomes, 3F, Loons) superior, but US brews get knocked if not at an insanely low Ph. I mean, we shouldn't complain too much, because it leads to super chill releases ¯\_(ツ)_/¯am i in the minority that loves the fact that off color keeps acidity in check?

Is Off Color just not hype enough nowadays? Doesn't light up the ISO boards enough? Am I so out of touch? (No, no... it's the children who are wrong.)
- Low bottle count
- Bugs from hyped breweries (Side Project, Jester King)
- Unusual brewing method (foedre)

we got a bunch of barrels bubblin for our foeders and future bases and will for sure blend out the low ph freakout barrels. i dont get the love for the paint peelers, how do you enjoy another beer or food for the rest of the day. could you pair 6 ounces of an bruery zour with any meal?It was a little odd to see the release have such low attendance. great reference to a 20 year old 5 minute stand-up bit the world forgot. what ever happened to jim bruer, possibly the most unsuccessful post SNL career since ellen cleghorne. This was far from a paint peeler though. It's not Upland Kiwi.
I don't mind 6oz of a decently acidic beer. Une Annee's sours can drift this way. It personally doesn't affect me unless I'm at a share and there's a Jim Breuer style craft beer party happening in my stomach.
TIt's not Upland Kiwi.
