Bloomberg is getting into the beer writing business I see.
I think it's safe for us to take credit for all uses of "new money" no matter the medium.

Some nice nuggets at the end of the Beer Temple Insiders Roundtable last night from Penrose. Wednesday the 14th, they'll be a bottle release for Wild 13 and Wild 14. 13 is apricots, not sure about 14. Then Saturday Nov 14th will be the release of their collab with 18th Street. Hobbs mentioned some sort of special event in the works for that.

At some point during the show Chris mentioned he heard there were 60,000 bottles of Rare this time around as well.

It'll be available via podcast on Monday.

60,000 bottles * 16.9 oz = 1,014,000 oz / 128 oz (# of oz in a gallon) = 7921.875 gallons / 55 gallons (# of gallons in a bourbon barrel) = 144.034 barrels of Rare not including the product that went into sixtels.

Seems like a lot of "missing" 35 year old Heaven Hill barrels, but quinnsi is much more in tune with the scene than I am so I'll take his word for it.

University of Illinois.. we're terrible at sports.. but we got our maths on lock down (unless it involves state finances).

Well I am sure there is a pallet for later and some went into kegs for events.

I expect a lot more kegs this time.

How many barrels of Rare were there supposed to be? My text message history doesn't go back far enough to check. I was told 100 of the maple syrup/bourbon barrels for Prop, so ~144 for Rare doesn't seem too off.

Great another weekday release on 13 and 14. 12 sold out in one day on a Tuesday I believe it was. 12 tasted fantastic on tap and lasted at least through the following weekend when I was able to stop in. Anyone know the details on the collab with 18th Street?

FWIW, Eric told me that their experiment at offering up a case limit taught them a lot. And that they likely won't be doing that ever again.

I don't think the politicians that currently run our state went to college or even High School at this point... bunch of dum dumb running this state...

Man, Imperial Oak is ******* solid as hell. BA Udder Madness and Nitro Udder Madness are both killer. Dave's Pale is a pine cone soaked in citra. And ******* CROWLERS? Why did it take almost two years for me to find this place?

Yup - easily my favorite brewery to go to. Wife and I were there tonight. Admiral Ackbeer (It's a Trap!pist!) was a solid dubbel. BA Udder Madness was amazing - amongst the best BA stouts I've had. Agreed on Dave's Pale too. Had a taste of Udder Samoa (coconut and cinnamon milk stout) and it was damn good too. Went home with crowlers of I Must Break You and Udderly Dark - ****** love crowlers.

And the pizza from Copper Oven was spot on and really hit the spot with the Dave's Pale.
