On a side note, what the ***** a Hailstorm took Silver at GABF for a poorly named Maibock.

Yeah, but but but...um....you can raffle a bottle off or something and make back your money....or, what about the trade value for one of the tens of thousands of bottles produced....or, um, it says Rare on it and it's in a box dude, do you even Craigslist, bro?

Wait--there is a box?! That changes everything.

I'm actually pretty excited for Rare Day, which means I'm destined not to win a ticket. I'd pay $40 for some swag, the tour, and 6 pours of bourbon county variants. I'd buy 3 bottles of Rare too. Amortize that over 3 years I figure. I'm not going to open all 3 bottles that day. Sure I have to pay upfront, but I'll have bottles to enjoy for special occasions over a few years. Maybe it's just me needing a reason to get out of the house for a day. Beats me, but I thought the event looked pretty sweet when I saw it yesterday.

And I have a few regular trading partners who would probably like to have a bottle without hassle - and you know it's going to be Make-a-Wish GOLD people!

Now, can I explain to the wife how I might be spending $60 (x 3...plus a $40 ticket) for a medium-sized bottle of BEER.
