Am I missing something or what? On GI events link, they list the ******* intersection of where the event will be held, but no mention of the actual establishment. http://www.gooseisland.com/showEvents.html

goose abides by this regulation (most of the time): http://ttb.gov/industry_circulars/archives/2013/13-01.html
additional context part I: http://industry.christopouloslaw.com/
part II: http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=f455b3d89281a87bb62b2ca47693e4a4&node=se27.1.7_151&rgn=div8

TL;DR: social media posts can provide undue value to a given retailer. the TTB regulates as such to prevent breweries/distributors from tying themselves to retailers, which is impermissible.

Someone on BA just whined that he drove 12 hours to FFF for the sole purpose of getting Zombie Dust -- but they didn't have any!!!

Shocked!! OH NO!! Schadenfreude!!

Dumbshit ******* idiot!!
God forbid he has to settle for fresh Alpha King, Gumballhead, Alpha Klaus, Panzer Wolf, etc.

I was just joking about this scenario with someone not too long ago. Told them how people will line up 100 deep on Thursdays "just in case Dust brah". Also direct them to FFF FB page on Thursdays for all the lul.

In other news, I've apparently been tasked with procuring a keg of something at least semi-tasty for our annual TomHanksGiving on Saturday. Since they waited until now to tell me, you can guess just how organized it is despite being known about months in advance.

Any advice on places to get a delicious emergency keg? Headed to my local (30mi away...hah) Binny's to see if they have anything laying around. Trying to avoid driving into the city since it's so damn far, but might just hot foot up to Lagunitas and grab a 1/2 of something. halp pls.

Unfortunately I think you've already laid out your answers. Binny's first, then a trek into the city is probably your only way.

Call Friar Tuck in Savoy. They usually have a decent selection on hand. Or I can stop in on my lunch break and check it out if you want.

Musings from Twitter...
  • WLV posted a photo of a Mikkeller glass and a bottle of Abraxas. It got everyone riled up to the point where people were planning on getting there at open today.
  • This will be good practice for the Dino S'mores line which will inevitably happen tomorrow.
  • Standard Market allocations for Black Friday: 4 pack of original and a bottle of each variant.
  • Beer is still terrible.

If you have to trek into the city, I think Half Acre has the best deal on a sixtel. Around $50 for Daisy Cutter.
I don't know what Lagunitas' prices are like though. Anyone with that info?

Buddy got a 1/2 barrel of Sucks for $122 -- said all their reg. lineup is priced the same. Confirmed HA is my go-to for a sixtel, but I think they want something more winter-y than a pale.

stxSS07 if you're closer to Savoy than the city then do this. Friar Tuck is the ****. My go to in college.

Thanks a bunch fellas. Says they open at 10...I will be the ******* that calls at 10:01.

Fuuuuuuuuck I need to get a kegerator. Do they have Sucks available all the time now?

Same...and maybe? He said he just called, asked, and was told they have it. Sounds like they are still getting it from CA though as his was something like 1.5mo old by the time he got it.

I was more intrigued by the idea of feeding everyone Hop Stoopid without telling them it was 9%.

Ahhhh ok. I assumed they were brewing it here since it seems like they always have it on at the taproom. ****, if they're all 1.5 months old, the pours I had there tasted just as perfect as always.

"This is just a really hoppy session pale ale everyone. Drink up!"

Is Dino S'mores even that good? My local is selling it for $21 a four pack

I don't think so, but that's just me. I don't understand the hype for it. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but the hype is out of control
thought you were just joking ryan.... looked for myself.... NOOOOPE JEG is that you?

I had to troll him over there. Just couldn't help myself.

I was just alerted to the fact that someone was trying to trade the Moody Tongue Black Truffle Pilsner on BA and I had to go check it out for myself. Sure enough:

http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...ack-truffle-iso-db-huna-prop-backyard.228846/

He's looking for a DB Huna, Prop and Backyard.

$4$ bro cmon! Surely those three piddly beers could not stand up to the glory that is a truffle Pilsner!

It's pretty delicious. 21 for a 4 pack might be a bit steep though.

I know the guy. He entered the lottery with no intention of buying, but already planning to put up a ridiculous ISO. He figured if there was some idiot desperate enough for a truffle pilsner to give up great beer, would reap a windfall. Of course, not the best way to build trading credibility, but somewhat explains his ridiculous request.
