So to increase my og i added a pound of light dme that was boiled in a half gallon of water. I cooled it prior to adding too. I looked at it the next day and the top was blown off, so i put it back on and hooked up the blow off but have not seen any action for a day or so with it. Before i added this the airlock was going crazy. The krausen is still high and yummy looking. Did i kill my yeast when adding the dme?

I am using white labs cali ale yeast and its at about 70

Dude, I'm sure your fine. That yeast ferments super quickly so it's likely that the majority of "visible" activity was overwith by the time you put that lid back one. I wouldn't worry about it...

kbuzz is most likely right, but just check your hose connections and seatings to make sure. it's all good, like he says, though

I think that you probably just released all the pressure and that it is past the peak of fermentation, but I am wondering why, if you had a lot of airlock activity you wanted to add the DME? That also seems to me like a lot to add after fermentation has started.

I added it because my og was way off. If i didn't, the columbus hops i used for bittering would be overpowering
