So i heard you could carbonate your kegged beer in a few hours by this method.

1. chilling the beer to about 35
2. Hooking up co2 and setting it to 30psi
3 then shaking the keg for 100 seconds and then unhooking co2.

Is this method correct?? is there any difference in quality by carbonating this way?? or are there any other ways to carbonate your keg in a days time?????

It's either hit or miss and is very easy to over carb but it can be ready in 6 hours. Get you beer as close to freezing temp as possible and shake until the regulator stops hissing. Toss back into the cold and repeat every 2 hours for 6 hours. Done.

During winter it's typically around 5 C. After tapping into the keg I put it outside hooked up to CO2 at 3 bars and leave it there for 24 hours. That gives me about 2,2 vol. CO2.
