Make sure she doesn't have a big meal ahead of time. EF and big meals don't exactly go together.

I tried to get mine to enjoy a glass the other day. She took less than one sip and told me she would only go for Miller Lite.

I did manage to get her to have a little Cream Stout the other day.

Most women don't like to be surprised with cream stout, but if we're in the mood for it, it sure goes down good. Definately one of my favorites on a nice quiet night. I like it better than Edmund Fitzgerald, but there are a place for both.

My ex-wife was impartial to the E.F. She wasn't really a fan, but understood the merits. We had an agreement lined up though, after 9 cases of her preferred brew, we got a case of the Edmund for her.

I wasn't a fan of her swill, but every once in a while it felt good to fire up Mr Fitz and get a little rowdy.

I never got her to have the cream stout, though. I'll try to hook the next one up with some of that and see if that goes down well or not.

Nah, she never requests it but sometimes she's not opposed to it. Occasionally she'll humor me by taking a swig and then spitting it out in the sink but every now and then she can kick back an entire bottle.

Cheese, I think that's pretty understandable. I would think for alot of women that it would be tough to have a whole bottle of it in one sitting. It is some pretty potent stuff. Even though I'm a pretty big drinker, I definitely could not be able to drink two in one night, that's for sure.

The wife doesn't mind a cream stout, though she doesn't drink them as often as she used to (incidentally when we got married her taste for them seemed to wain). Her logic is once you've got the taste of a cream stout in your mouth, you might as well finish the bottle. Can't argue with that reasoning. :rockin:

I've heard that washing your hair with beer is supposed to be good for it. Perhaps we can set something up for you.

November 10th is the 32nd anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I propose an HBT challenge:

Can YOU sink an Edmund Fitzgerald this year? It's obviously a gentleman's bet, but post here if you manage to work in an E.F. on the night of 11/10. Better yet, get your wife to be photographed drinking a bottle of Edmund Fitzgerald Porter prior to the commemorization.

The 10th is a Saturday Night, so our chances of success are all greatly increased.
