Soul-o is for real one of the best lyricists in the game and just killing it on guest verses. Can't wait for another full length.

Rashad is boooooooring. He can write, but he's dull. Hopefully he'll start to step his game up, but there's a reason that the only other TDE rappers on his last album were on the last track and together.

I think that, lyrically, Rashad is solid to good, but his delivery and flow are uninspiring. He doesn't sound like anything special, as opposed to the uniqueness and general above-par to excellence from the other four TDE rappers. I think that if he develops a persona, as the other TDE dudes have, he'll grow into something special. I was just very underwhelmed by Cilvia.

I was disappointed by Oxymoron, too. I love Q and I loooooved Habits and Contradictions. I wish he and ASAP Rocky would do a collab EP or mixtape.

Pinata is dope. Love, love, love Gangsta Gibbs and Madlib has always been a genius. I haven't dug the Gates mixtape as much as last year's but I've only listened a few times. I like him in general though. I haven't given Black Portland a listen, but it's on the list.

Maybe the Pinata verse wasn't his strongest, but in general the kid just nails verses. He's just kooky enough to keep things a little uncomfortable. My dream collab would be Ab-Soul and Jay Electronica over Just Blaze or Dilla.

i reacted similarly at first actually. but i let it marinate and also watched a few rashad interviews. hes seems like such a sharp, great dude - not that this = good music by any means.

but yeah the album is very very good imo, it's the most complete album on TDE besides GKMC (natch) and control system. give it another shot bruh, im tellin ya.
