I whipped three of these off for a friend who is putting together a new build using tri-clamps. I've seen a couple of different ways of mounting dip tubes in a tri setup such as using a stopper or orifice plate but have not seen this approach so I thought I'd post it.
Tube is 5/8" and the mating parts have a 0.002" interference fit. No welding required. O-rings are 115s which will provide .010" total compression. He'll have to supply his own silicone, those are just viton that I threw on to test fit. Didn't have a ferrule handy but it I did try it in some 1" tube and it was quite snug. I don't think he'll have to worry about them coming out until he wants them out.
...and yes, the vertical is stupidly long. He hasn't actually welded in the ferrules yet so I gave him plenty of extra so he can cut it down to size later.
