Diospyros lotus / Gods pear mead?

Does anyone have experience with making mead from Diospyros lotus / Gods pear fruits? We'll be waiting for the first frost before collecting the fruit as they will taste much better then, after which we'll use the honey from our own hives (with very high enzyme content) to make the Gods pear mead start of coming winter. Any recommendations are very much welcomed.
