Hello

Two weeks ago I bought supplies one of which was a vile of white labs refrigerated yeast. I just realized that I did not put the yeast in the fridge :(. It has been at about 60 degrees for a couple weeks.

It looks normal. My question is it still good? I am planning on brewing this weekend.

Thanks
Nick

try making a starter if not buy a new vial, a few dollars to insure a good ferment is worth it. otherwise you waste $20+ on the whole recipe :/

Research what a yeast starter is and do that. That will assure you that its viable yeast, and also make you better beer.

Its probably alive and well.

Thanks for info. sounds like the perfect time to do a yeast starter. I will do some research, feel free to leave any pointers.

No you didn't kill it. That's only a few degrees cooler than you would ferment at.

Yes to a starter

Pointer: Don't do it again
