If you want to stay in Derby, the Dew Drop Inn usually has a solid draft list, and tasty wings if you enjoy that sort of thing.
I have a stupid training in Derby on Wednesday, any suggestions nearby? I'll be taking the 684-84 route. I was going to hit decicco's in Brewster on the way home, but I was wondering if there was any place nearby that I could nurse a pint or two while I avoid rush hour traffic heading home.
Dew Drop is probably the right answer, but maybe check out The Hops Company (also in Derby). I haven't been yet, but they have a ton of draft lines so maybe there will be something cool on tap.If you want to stay in Derby, the Dew Drop Inn usually has a solid draft list, and tasty wings if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Not sure if I'm surprised nobody commented on this or if I should have expected the silence...So what's the deal with Trailblazer??
I have no idea what this trailblazer thing is. Tell me more..Not sure if I'm surprised nobody commented on this or if I should have expected the silence...
Anyway, if anyone in the New Haven area picks up a case next week and wants to part with a can, I wouldn't mind trying it.![]()
Pioneer Beer Co is opening in South Windsor later this year, but has been contract/tenant brewing at a few places over the years. Now they're brewing at Shebeen and releasing some of their own beers. Trailblazer is a hazy IPA that all the newmoney ******** in CT are trying to hype up as the next Heady/Julius/whatever.I have no idea what this trailblazer thing is. Tell me more..
at Shebeen
@ Shebeen
From what I understand, it's not that Shebeen is brewing their beer. They're just using Shebeen's equipment until their own space is finished.

I've spent way too much time wading through some of these shitting on Shebeen posts in one of the CT Facebook groups over the past few days, so I'm pretty sure this is the arrangement.
Oh right, I forgot to blame you for that trip into the newmoney territory of CT beer.

It was pretty goodThat **** looks like hoof hearted garbage water. I'm still gonna buy some even though it looks like it may just be raw sewage in a can.

Nope, but I did buy a 4pk of their Double Cali IPA the other day. Like $2/16oz can for an 11%. Seemed like a decent price even if it sucks. So who is in the line waiting to get all trailblazered420 ctwhales?
