The last growler of Gandhi that I picked up (maybe about two weeks ago) was the clearest that I've ever seen it.

So obviously this isn't HF tier. The nose is straight Americanized saison with very little wine or oak influence. Taste you get some mild generic white wine descriptors plus your grass, spices, and wheat...not quite at the Boulevard Saison Brett level but awfully close. The twist is a nice light sour/buggy finish. I can see this improving over time for sure, much like the Hooker wine BA saison did. All and all, a solid 4.0. Nothing earth shattering but really damn solid. Crushable too!

The worst is people that brew the beer rating all their beers 5 caps on Untappd.

Didn't the Shebeen guy recently get all butthurt about people "not supporting local breweries"? I mean, cool story, bro. Next time, stop rating all your beers 5s on Untappd and trashing NEBCO, and try making better beer instead.

Random last second question - Any SoS left in New Haven area off 95? A TBer passing thru asked me and I have no idea. Haven't even bought it down here yet.

Feel free to message me if you don't want to blow up your favorite spot ;)

Not surprising there's no barrel or wine notes as they typically barrel age their stuff the bare minimum in order to say it barrel aged. Prob a few weeks

I'm pretty sure they aged it for 3 months.

I got hints of wine flavor. All in all a solid saison. Very borderline whether it's worth the $14. I'm going to age my other bottle until the summer.

Brother Soigne is $12 (just picked up a case on Saturday!), so it's tough to justify this one.

Have we seen the last cans of ghandi-bot roll off the line yet...was asking around at local bottle shops recently no one seemed to have a clue. Also any of you folks in the Danbury or Stamford area want to pull off a quick FTF for some Zombie Dust dated 1/30 hit me up..ISO VT IPAS-DIPAS for now as I have not been up North since Nov...also travel a lot for work so I sometimes bring home some goodies as checked luggage, last trip happened to be a case of ZD...always liked to have some locals queued up for in person trades. Hit me up on untappd as well same username. Thanks !

I have some fresh Topper, Second Fiddle, and SoS if you're interested.

a CT brewery told me with a straight face "If we were in a more remote location, like Hill Farmstead, we would have more customers."

yeah cause the view of the Buick dealership at nebco is so bucolic
Is Litchfield county remote enough? If yes, then Kent Falls is sure to succeed!

I guess it's only 1:15 or so from me, but it's still ~40 minutes north of Danbury.
