Ok, year three on my hops. I'd post a picture but it's a bit dark. My question, do you weight the hops before or after drying? I assume after but just wanted to be sure for proper utilization.




Bigger, stronger, darker!
 
This may be late. You weigh your initial take. Say it's 10 oz. Divide that number by 5. When you dry, that's the number your shooting for. Weigh them periodically until they're close to that number. Then vacuum seal a bag, and place in the freezer.

I used a box fan and a screen door, and it took 2-3 days in a warm garage. I just built an oast, so I'll see if it cuts down on the time since the air will be directed straight through the hop beds.
