Carbonic acid/Soda water with non-stainless faucets

I understand that soda water coming in contact with brass can create toxic compounds bad for one's health. Are these chrome type faucets ok? Or should I get stainless? Any info appreciated, thanks.

Get stainless. I had a chrome tap and the soda water undercut the plating, causing it to flake out of the tap. My wife did not like it. Granted, it took 4-5 years, but if I had known back then, I'd have sprung the extra few bucks for stainless.
