Can I use this receptacle?

I accidentally bought several 20 amp, 240V single receptacles.

Can I still use this for a 120v 20amp application and just leave the second brass screw empty and wire the neutral to the ground screw?

Not a good idea, the ground prong has continuity to the mounting screws, plus you will need a 240v plug to fit into the receptacle.....

I'm returning them. Wife had been out with her girlfriend. I was watching the kids. Oddly, these look just like the 120v version. No different plug. But no silver screw either.
