After my very first 2 kits , I went to half juices and half kits every year, now 4 juices to 2 kits in fall then 2 kits in spring.

Have patience. I let my kits run a little longer than what they recommend, especially after it is in the secondary and cleared. Just let it bulk age for a while longer
